Android smartphone users now have a software tool designed to help them to create their own apps. App Inventor is designed for use by non-programmers, using a simple menu and a drag-and-drop interface.

Google says,

“You can build just about any app you can imagine with App Inventor … To use App Inventor, you do not need to be a developer. App Inventor requires NO programming knowledge. This is because instead of writing code, you visually design the way the app looks and use blocks to specify the app’s behavior.”

Well the Surepoint team have signed up to roadtest App Inventor and we’ll be reporting back on what we found very soon.
